5 Axis chamfer with....a chamfer mill

Does anyone know why this is not a thing? It would be nice to be able to select a chamfer mill tool for a multi-axis contour or maybe even have some sort of "3D edge break" or "3D chamfer" feature. 

The last time I asked, I had to either use a ball endmill and deal with the cusps or try to cheat the software by using a taper mill. the taper mill method was much harder than it needed to be.

Any tips and tricks for making this easier would be very appreciated.

Hi @Anonymous,

At the moment have no operations like 2D Chamfer for 3 or 5 axis operations.

For 3D you can use the Scallop with a Ball-Mill.

The Flow strategy (Or Blend a Beta-Mode strategy) will sometimes also help, but when it becomes to complex it won't do the job.

Let us hope Development will bring in some love at 5-axis simultaneous machining.
