4th axis slot across cylinder, Z goes the wrong way

Looking for some help here.  This is a 2D adaptive wrapped toolpath.  as you can see in the screen shot, it is just a simple slot across a cylinder.  For some reason, when I try to cut it, (see video) the axis seems to go the wrong direction.  The G-code looks like the machine is doing what it is being told to do.  For information, the 4th axis is mounted along Y.

Hi @mastersmeat,

 

Only checked your model within the mobile viewer on my iPhone. 

It looks like you have set your WCS not in the center of the model. 

 

I looks like you have set it to the OD but this has to be center of part.

Yeah, the WCS is the issue here. Set it to the center and you should be in good(er) shape.

Wow, 

Thanks, I set my origin at the OD to simplify tool zeroing, but instead now I just tell it that I'm using a 1/2" block, same result.  I can't believe how much time I wasted trying to figure this out.
