3D Parallel?

Good morning from Minneapolis, MN!

Last week I started programming this part. Had this surface all roughed and finished with 3D Parallel. Today I open the file again to continue programming it and there is no "3D" in my parallel toolpath.

1. I have tried everything I know to get this to follow the 3D surface again and it's not working. File is attached. The toolpaths in question are in Op3. Thank you all in advance for the help!

2. Why does this happen? The toolpath was fine before, nothing changed other than the day. This is not the only time this has happened to me. It is INCREDIBLY frustrating! I am programming 8 machines and it really sucks having to waste time on things that I have already done once and should be simple.

3. Side Note: Sometimes I can't turn on a sketch and have it be visible without the sketch being open, which can change the model. Sometimes I can. Anybody know what I'm missing?

The reason you can't get the toolpath you are looking for is because of your Setup. You have selected "CAM:Root 1", which includes EVERYTHING in the entire model tree. That includes the Stock you have modeled. Properly selecting the model to be manufactured gives us this for a toolpath:

Thank you Seth!

On my end I have "21402 Rev 5" selected.
I reseleceted the 21402 Rev 5 model in the setup and it is working.
Could it be that I added the "stock model" later and it got grouped in?

That is quite likely the reason

Is this common? If I add models will they be automatically be added to the setup model? This hasn't seemed to be the case so far which is why I was so baffled.

Thanks again Seth! You've helped me so many times both directly and indirectly!

"If I add models will they be automatically be added to the setup model?"

If you have the root of the tree selected in your setup it will. Its probably better to select the components individually in the setup portion.

As I mentioned above, on my end, I didn't have the root selected. Mine said "21402 Rev 5". So I clicked the X and reselected the same thing and everything was golden.

Well, I suppose it's just something to watch for in the future.
