3d Adaptive Clearing Heights Not Matching

I am having an issue with 3D adaptive with the bottom heights not matching.  I am using a 1/2" square end mill to hog out as much as possible then coming back with a 1/4" bullnose and cleaning up what the 1/2" could not reach using rest machining before doing a 2D contour to finish the walls.  I am not terribly concerned about the finish on the bottom so no need to do any finishing in the Z height.  Both tool paths are using flat area detection.  In the first picture the bullnose is not cutting to the same depth as the square end.  If I simply change the tool to be a square end on the 1/4" it will cut to the same height.  Can anyone tell me what is going on here?

Try turning on Flat Area Detection in both Adaptive operations.

By default it does not try to hit flats exactly, and if you have different stepdowns on the two strategies you might easily end up with two different heights for that last pass.

Both tool paths already are using flat area detection.

Ok, any chance you can share the part so we can take a closer look? Or a bit more information about your setup. Step sizes, etc.
