2D Bore operation - toolpath wrong

Hello.

I am really happy to use the english help here !

So now i want to show an error in 2D bore operation.

15mm hole, 12mm endmill

No problem if i set "Lead to Center" on the Linking tab.

But if i set one of this or combination of this, the part (the hole) will be destroyed:

Bore 1 - not ok

Bore 2 - Ok by setting Center point

Bore 3 - with finishing option

Bore 4 - what....not ok !

Only Bore 2 will work. Bore 3  and 4 are not note the "Lead to Center" option.

2d circular have not this problems, any option is turned on, anything looks ok.

Please take a look. I will hope they will fix this.

And i will hope, here we can get an update to use an overlap setting like 2d contour.

If i use 2d bore ore 2d circular i have no option. I use this with pleasure because here is the "same diameter" option.

But for tolerances like H7, there must be an overlap setting, bore and circular...please !

There are no issues if you use Wear or Computer compensation. This is not something I would expect to see fixed.

If you need to use Control compensation, reduce the size of your lead in/out values

For the overlap, I agree. There is "Repeat Finishing Pass", but it does lift the tool up and out of the hole and then back down. I'd prefer to see it stay down for both passes.

One suggestion is to just use the 2D Contour option. I find myself using that quite frequently when it matters enough. If you set your leads to 135 degree arc, it will mimic a "Lead to Center" operation

I hope i understand (my english is not good)

Fusion360 mills wrong into part and you say, there is nothing to fix ?

So why this will not be happen if i us only one of this settings ?

If one setting work and a little changing of the settings will not work say me, here is something wrong with Fusion 360.

We ALWAYS use compensation with machine for 2d operations...im not an hobbyist

And the tool is not to big and lead in/out is ok...you see it by yourself because it will work on "Bore2"

Fusion will not start at the middle of the hole if i use any other option, that´s the problem !

Repeat and overlap are different thinks. I am not writing about repeating. I want a overlap like in other operations.

If u want a good surface and good tolerances you must have a little overlap...theory and working in real life are sometimes different.

2d contour is ok, but can not find same diameter!

2d contour also makes sometimes problems, if you select many contours (see my post https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-manufacture/rounding-error-on-circular-milling-operation/m... )

I understand what you are saying, and I will try to get some attention on this issue. As a work around, you are not without options: Simulate well, play with the lead-in value, simulate again. The other option is to swap to Wear Compensation

I've logged this as CAM-16046

Tanks for your help !

Workaround is not the problem, here are more than one solutions like copy of the operation for a second finishing.

My postings are more for helping to solve problems like this.

Hello !

Today i test some bugs that i wrote about in this forum.

I never see my nick and never read about any bug that i wrote here in the "whats´s new" section.

So it looks like this "bug" was fixed ?

I open my testfile, generate the toolpath and no operation will damage the hole !

So the "center" option will now work with all checkable options i think.

I apologize, I should have circled here when this issue was fixed....in September 🙃

As for the "What's New" not mentioning the fixes, that's not something that's normally done, but rather an overview of the more notable improvements. I do wish there was a more "dry" white paper that lists all the boring nitty-gritty, as more than a few users have been using workarounds that may not apply anymore....

Oh September 🤐

I often test the bugs i wrote about, every update, but i see that is nothing fixed and stopped my test.

Ah yes, the last "update" was to add an pitch to this operation...so i was thinking "what...they add pitch as a good new thing and will not fixed my bug".... yes i was a little sulky.

But now it is fixed and i am happy again 😁
