2d Adaptive, Random tool crash

I wrote a program and successfully ran through 1 part with no issues.  I made some minor adjustments to the program in Fusion, reposted it, and loaded it into my machine.  More than half way through running it through on the 2nd part, the tool path went from taking a .020" step over to trying to dive into the solid material snapping my endmill.  I attached a couple pictures of my part to show what happened.  Has anyone ever had this happen before?  I've been using fusion for a couple of years now and have never had this issue.

Can we have the Fusion file? Without seeing that, it's a guess as to what has gone south

File > Export > Save to local folder. Return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

Hi @bbunchNU73V

Have you verified the toolpath with the simulation? If that does not show the problem, perhaps there is an issue with your CNC or controller?

Feel free to upload the f3d file here if you think the issue is in the toolpath and the collision can be shown in the stock simulation.

Regards

Martin

Yeah, there's no issues in the simulation, and reposting and reloading the program seems to not have any issues.  Just for some reason that time it added a couple of random lines.  Only cost me a $200 endmill, with 10 minutes of run time on it.  At least the parts ok.  Thanks for the reply man!

Do you have the problem g-code still available?
There is zero tolerance for spurious "random lines" being added, and the occasions I've seen this first hand, it was my own error.

How are you transmitting the code; sticking it on a USB stick and loading in control, or sending it via RS-232?

What is the control and post processor that you are using?

No, I do not have that exact code any longer.  It's never happened before, but I didn't make any changes to the program just reposted it and uploaded it and that extra line was fine.  My best guess is that it was an error uploading the program.  We have to use an rs232 and they can be finicky.
