Workflow lock imported production items without a related change order

Dear Fusion Lifecycle Team,

After mass import our production data into our Items & BOMs WS, our consultant mass released those items to the production (Lifecycle) with a one time script. So far so good, while training our end users we faced the issue that users with READ/WRITE role for that workspace, are able to EDIT the item details of those items.

In yesterdays Street Team 1:1 Mentoring, we learned that those production items (per definition in a LOCKED stage) need to have related change order to be effectively not editable anymore.

Bottom line: Since our items have been brought to production with a script and not with the change order, the workflow lock in our change order workflow is obviously not triggered.

Q: Is there a way to lock the mass imported items, which are in production [rev:A] without running a change order on all of them, which would bring them to production [rev:B] ?
