It would aid workflow layout if you had the ability to enter Carriage Returns (similar to Visio) in the workflow Transition name or a way to specify the display length so in the workflow view the label would word wrap and allow better layout of the workflow states. Currently the only way to have a nice display is to alter the spacing between states to accommodate the varying length of the transition text.
