Revision Configurations

It would be a hoot if we were able to configure the Revision Character Length ourselves. In some cases, Items need software loaded on the BOM and the Versions of the Software are more than 5 Characters for example: Sofware XYZ Version 1.0.2.5 right now we have to Create a REV of A for the Software and state in the Comments that Rev A represents 1.0.2.5

Greetings. We can extend the revision length limit, and have you switch to manual revisioning model. Would this work for you?

Ticket 11884320 was closed because I was instructed to place this on the Idea Station. so not sure what to do now...

I am sorry for the confusion on this ticket. The reason you were asked to put it on the Ideas Station is because this is not a setting that we can control on a tenant by tenant basis but rather we will have to develop it. We now have this ticket in our backlog but I cannot promise how quickly this issue will be addressed as it is considered for development alongside all the other features that have been proposed. I hope this makes sense.
