It would be great if outstanding work remembered any fomatting changes to column sizes and exlusions, on refresh it defaults back to std format which if frustrating

Seconding this, and adding that if a feature is editable, but those edits don't stick around between reloads, it's clearly a half-baked feature that greatly disrespects your users by wasting their time & effort.
