Hide/Display Workflow States and Transitions with script

Hello,

It would be great to be able to hide or unhide workflow states and transitions with scripts. I have a process that has two different workflow paths it will go down depending on how the workspace is filled out.

It would make the project more clear to the user if wokflow states and transitions could be hidden instead of just not having access to a transition.
