Allow Filtered Columns in WS View to be edited without being added to view

Hello Autodesk Community,

This Idea is being submitted on behalf of Ross Dickson with Astro Lighting.

The customer would like to be able to edit filtered columns in the Workspace View without having to add the column to the view. Currently, if you want a filtered column to not be shown in the Workspace View, you must add the column to the view, set up the filter, and then remove the column from the view.

Hi Justin,

Are you sure that you are obliged to add the column to the view to do the filter on it? Or I didn't understand your need or I do something wrong because I can do the filter on a column without adding it in the view.

I believe Justin (on behalf of Ross) is referring to Modern UI. In Modern UI we allow a column-by-column filtering (similar to Excel) which currently requires that the column is in the view first.

Ah ok. We don't use the Modern UI for the moment.
