Get classification fields

Hi,

We are trying to get a list of all item fields. We use api/v3/workspaces/57/fields however we are not able to get the fields at classification section (in the UI the fields are changed based on the selected classification).

Could you please assist?

Hi,

Thank you for the update. Do you know what are the expected timelines for this development?

Is there a workaround we can use in the meanwhile to access those fields?

Hi @Anonymous ,

No timeline yet, but it will happen in this quarter. Stay tuned for the release notes. The only other way is to use existing v2 endpoints - you can see what's being used if you use Modern UI and look at the traffic in the Network Panel. It's not officially documented because, as I stated, we are moving it to v3 to then document it in our Help files.

Thanks,

Hi Giliar.  Do you have an update on the fix of this issue?

We have an urgent need to edit classification fields, but no longer can.  Checking the box next to a field name used to open an 'Actions' drop-down, but now nothing happens.  Can't delete individual fields either.

Anybody have a workaround?

Thanks!

DT

Following up here... I just discovered that clicking the mouse pointer anywhere on a field's row, NOT on the checkbox, will tic the box and allow editing of the field.  Glitchy FLC fun!

Hi @david.therien ,

I'll report it to the team. In the meantime, also relevant to @Anonymous , the Classification fields are available in the v3 API as part of the item details payload.

Hi @david.therien ,

I followed up with the team. Issue acknowledged, we'll look into revamping the component in the near future and take care of this problem as part of it.

Thanks for reporting it!

Hi @ian.slater ,

The first issue reported in this post is resolved. Classification fields are available in the response of V3 API api/v3/workspaces/id/fields.

The second issue has not been fixed yet since there is a simple work around (clicking on the row instead of the checkbox) to select the Classification fields for editing.
