Hi, any hint on simple scripting task:

Case 1: form the current item in workspace, how do I read the current workflow state (name or ID)? some: item.workflowActions."something..."

Case2: from the current item in workspace, how do I read the current workflow state of a Related item in Relationship Tab? some: item.relationships[i].item."something..."

I'm currently figuring out to update a custom property writing the State name with an action script on every workflow state change in order to reach it easily...I can't get clear examples from the Help

item.descriptor.workflowState and item.relationships[i].item.descriptor.workflowState should do what you are wanting.

If a piece of data is directly accessible on a record, you can typically access it the same way when linking from another record. You just have to start the call by telling it what record you're wanting the information from - item.relationships[i] - and then what information you're wanting - item.descriptor.workflowState.
