Attachment Timestamps Confusing

Curious about...

1) why the date (timestamp) of file upload to the Attachments tab of an unreleased item (in Items & BOMs ws) stays with that dmsid when released (via ECO), however in that released item's working revision, the timestamp is changed to the timestamp of the ECO's final approval?  This gives the impression that a new file has been uploaded when in fact FLC has just assigned the original upload a new timestamp.

2) what's the logic behind the two date fields populated for each attached file?  In the File Info column the field is titled 'Timestamp' and in the Status column the field is titled 'At' however regardless of whether I'm uploading or checking out/checking in, the dates update identically.  Under what conditions do they differentiate?

Thanks!

1) when the item is released, FLC will clone the item to create a new working version. attachments of the item will also be cloned at that time. that's why you see "the timestamp is changed to the timestamp of the ECO's final approval", actually it's the creation time of the working version item.

2) The "Timestamp" is the latest time file uploaded. Once you check out the file, you will find the value of Timestamp field become different to the value of Status -> At field.
