get grid row id via script

Is it possible to get the grid row id at the time of creation?

I add a row like this:

design_mgmt.grid.addRow({PROCESS:"Trim",ITEM: trim_name, DATE_AVAIL:today, DATE_AVAIL_STRING:today.toString()})

At the time of creation, I want the grid row ID so I can easily come back and update this row without having to loop through the entire rows in the grid.

Is it possible?

I don't see any way of getting the id of the row from the script debugger.  So i don't think is available to you.
