Hey Guys,

Can anyone explain the basic difference between Fusion Team and BIM 360 Team . I know Fusion Team is for MFG Industries and BIM 360 Team is for AEC industries and previously we used to call them together as A360 Team ....

In Fusion Team I am able to open Revit files and I am even able to see the material properties , etc , etc ...

But Still what is the Difference between Fusion Team and BIM 360 Team?

Hi there,

You're right they come from the same origin. And they are almost identical. The main difference is the customerbase that they target. Both field have very different needs however so the difference will come in the future.

The only differences that exist at the moment:

BIM 360 TEAM

-) Is required when you use Collaboration for Revit (BIM 360 Build)

-) Now needs a license for project contributors as seen here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/bim-360-team/learn-explore/caas/simplecontent/content/bim-360...

Fusion Team

-) Can be used for working in Fusion 360

-) Is required for Fusion 360 <> Inventor AnyCAD workflows.

Hope that helps!

Hi @asiteur

Thanks for your quick reply . I am quite shocked by the second point though ..

" Now needs a license for project contributors as seen here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/bim-360-team/learn-explore/caas/simplecontent/content/bim-360... "

Is this the case only with BIM 360 Team .... Also as a matter of Fact I am using the BIM 360 TEAM NFR contract for my Fusion Team HUB ... Now how am I affected ? ... Please see the attached image  ...
