Is it possible: Installing fusion on multiple desktop computers in a school

Hello,

This is driving me a bit insane, network managers can be so rigid!

I have requested Fusion the program be put onto the desktop on all the desktop computers in our CAD lab, there are about 24 computers. All our students have Fusion log-ins already.

Its like a standard computer room in a school, so students log in through the school system to the desk top so can log in to any desk top to complete their work.

It works ok that the students can download Fusion onto their desktop but then its only still there on that computer, it doesn't stay on their log in for any computer, which I Would expect to be honest.

I asked the IT admin to install the program on the computers so its on every desktop on every log in, however all he will do is put the online program link and this seems to be struggling on the internet.

Am i right that you can instal the desktop program on to the desktop so its desktop based and it works for any user that logs in, as long as they have a fusion account to open it. I just need to justify this to this person and to my line manager that I'm asking for something that can be done!!

Thanks!!
H

@hazel_deeming What you are asking for is possible. I am connecting with the internal team to get the link to the right documentation for this. Will post here once I have it.

@hazel_deeming Can you direct message me the email id for you and your IT admin that we can contact? There is a whole process that we can connect your IT that will give them information on installs, insights into when updates are coming and more importantly ways to connect with Autodesk for education support.

I don’t think he would appreciate that he would be offended, I need to go to my line manager first and then offer him the opportunity after that, thanks so much for your reply,
