Where is the "Technologies" and "Attributes" in Eagle Fusion library ?

Where is this function in the library tools  ? very useful for _EXTERNAL_ component placement !

I discovered another issue, a device with more 1 components like rotary switch with many decks not works in Fusion, with Eagle yes but not in Fusion 😩

The "technologies" and "attributes" functionality are contained within the variant definitions of library parts ("Devices").

I will say that library definitions in Fusion are very user specific and based on personal preference. How you define attributes and naming conventions will dictate BOM export for documenting projects so I encourage you to play around with device definition till you find what works for you and and try your best to hold yourself accountable to set all parts up in a repeatable fashion.

Hint: New attribute names will add new columns to BOM as included info on export. The value you assign will be the cell data on the csv file.

I am tired !!!! Why simple a thing become complicated with FUSION ???

Definitely it is impossible to start a job on one Mac and finish it on another !! is this not the principle of the Cloud, however?

I have this message when I try to "replace" a package.

What's error ?????

Hi @RitchieParis ,

So sorry to hear that you're having trouble.

This is a recent regression issue related with unlinked managed library that we are working a fix about it.

Whether the library you are trying to replace was linked managed library and then unlinked later? Want to know whether this is same issue or not.

As a workaround, please delete the problematic part and then add the one you want to replace with directly.

So sorry for any inconvenience.

We will keep you be posted once we have a fix about it.

Regards,

Helen

Hi Helen,

Thanks for you reply I appreciate, the problem is when I try to finish a work at my home (I work in UK University) and I re-open the project, Fusion seems to be not recognize my personals library I was use in my first Mac without problem (iMac 27").

When I try to open a device for some modifications I have this know message " Library is opened in Read-only mode choose File-> Save as to save....." and often the yellow exclamation point, BUT the Library is in my library folder.

If I save it I have many duplicate library in my folder !!!.

My first impression is that I use Fusion on my second Mac (MacBooPro 2020) Fusion seems don't communicate or recognize on the cloud all my library work.

This is the Cloup principe isn't it ? to simplify your work ? in this situation this is the total opposite.

I know how work a satellite link but not your library philosophie.

Best and thanks

Hi @RitchieParis ,

So sorry for any inconvenience.

If you switched to another machine, and cannot find the specified library you used in previous machine, please open the Library Manager to use the managed libraries in Available Tab:

LibraryManager.PNG

Or  add the library from Fusion to use it.

AddFromTeam-2.PNG

Only the libraries shown up in the In Use list in Library Manager could be used in current machine, otherwise need to add them to use.

Hope it helps a little.

Regards,

Helen

Hi Helen,

Don't worry I know that and this is exactly what I did, but unfortunately it doesn't work properly.

I already speak about this problem to Jorge and Richard but at this time no update...😩

Best Helen and thanks to you
