Just an FYI really.
I had a project open but no dialogs open or ongoing processes. I opened the Library Manager (the only reason I had the project open, since there is no way I can find to get to the Library Manager without a project open) then proceeded to bring in a new part. At several points (editing the symbol, footprint and then adding the 3D Package) the project's schematic kept popping up in the workspace.
On this screen I could not get it to go away, so I switched back to the project and closed it. That cleaned up the screen.
