PCB board side identification problem for THT components

During PCD development I placed a couple of headers as on the attached screenshot. For now I don't know which one should be mounted on top / bottom side. The workaround is to render 3D model of PCB to be sure. Is there easier way to determine PCB side where component is placed on?

For SMD component problem doesn't exists - they are marked by blue and red. But THT components have always green pads, independent of mounting side. The property dialog says nothing,

Hi there!

 

That's a known challenge and definitely something that Fusion Electronics does a bit differently. We have been contemplating following the industry there and coloring vias/pads in the same layers as the copper.

 

That being said, it is available as an option that you can turn on:

Another method that can be used is, assigning distinctive colors for the top and bottom silkscreen would be an excellent method to easily identify parts for mounting on top and bottom.
