Fixing the Component names of the Hierarchical design in PCB editor

Hi,

I have created a Hierarchical Design for a schematic.

According to the resources for achieving Hierarchical Design the only way is to use Modules and Ports.

So the issue is  when We switch from Schematic to PCB Design , the Component name is mentioned as <MODULENAME>:<DESIGNATOR> , I want my Components to only have Designators. Is there way to do this?

Hello @deepak_elango,

Thank you for coming onto the forums. It's not possible currently to only have Designators. The best you can do for now is to assign the modules 1 letter prefixes. So let's say you have a module called POWER, you can set it's prefix to be P. So the component name would now become P1:R1 for example, which is much better than POWER1:R1.

That's the best possible for now.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
