DIP16 package problem

Hi,

I had to create my own package/symbol...for a MC3479.

Usual 16 pin .300" wide dip, no drama so I thought.

I never checked the width (my bad) and was shocked when the board came back.

Its about 5mm wide instead of 7.5-8mm's.  Or .300".

Im not really sure why, but I cant change it now.

I have edited the package a few times in my library and its never updated even though ive used the update library menu item.

Every time I export, it’s the same original package size.

Any ideas what im doing wrong?

Just as an aside, wouldn’t it be nice to have a drop down with the most common .600" and .300" widths that just preset everything for you?

I figured it out.  It was the footprint that was set to .200".  I had to recreate and re attach everything.

I wish there was an easier way and also a way to just edit the footprint and tell it to be a different with.

There might be but I couldn’t find it.
