Current fusion electronics libraries storage is newer than the version supported by this fusion build.

Hi,

I'm having an issue when I start Fusion 360 lately. I get a popup when Fusion first with this error:

Current fusion electronics libraries storage is newer than the version supported by this fusion build.

It then asks me to revert to an older version or to ignore. Even if I ignore, the loaded version of Fusion is 2.0.1377. I can't open files created with a newer version.

When I reset or repair Fusion, it brings me back to 2.0.15050. However, when I close and reopen Fusion later, I get the error again and reverts back to an older version.

Is there anyway to fix this behaviour?

Thanks,

Gerard

@gerard_reidy

Isn’t there a separate forum for Technology Preview discussions?

Never mind, I was confused about the problem description.

@gerard_reidy If you go to your add/remove programs do you see 2 versions of Fusion installed? Have you tried to completely uninstall Fusion (not a reset/repair) and see if that helps?

FYI - based on my understanding, the error message happened is due to side by side install with Production build and Insider build, and no matter ignore or rollback to old version of the database will not bring Fusion to old version. It only impact Fusion Electronics users library related things, and normally just click Yes button to continue.

I'd suggest to remove all Fusion builds (including Production build and Insider build) and install Production build once again, it should be 2.0.15050.

Hope it helps.

Best regards,

Helen

Hi Helen,

That helped. I uninstalled Fusion through the installed apps dialog, but I still had it pinned on the taskbar. I found a production folder under Appdata with 17 other Fusion installs. I'm guessing they are previous updates that were never deleted, but it was over 50gb. Is this usual behaviour? It seems excessive.
