Component rotation error

I'm experiencing a weird error, very similar to the one I posted here The component is rotated 90 degrees. This happened when I pushed PCB to 3D model. The component's 3D model is rotated correctly in the library. See screenshots.

Hi @pstormarkG9SGY

Sorry to hear that you meet this issue.

Would you mind trying the following steps to see if it can solve your problem?

1. File -> View -> Show Text Commands

ShowText.PNG

2.In the text commands -> Type : PCB.clearCache

TextCommand.PNG

3. Generate 3D PCB again

Hope it can solve your problem.

If you still meet this issue after doing those steps, please let us know, thanks!

Hi @pstormarkG9SGY

Thanks a lot for inviting me into your project.

Finally we find the reproduce steps and we have reported it to the develop team.

I will keep you updated when we release the fixing for this issue.

BTW, we find the key step to reproduce this issue is that the user do the Rotate by activating Move command after Insert into the current design.

As a workaround, you can try to create the package again. This time, when you insert the package into the current design, Please do not Click the OK button and activate Move command again to do the Rotate. Please do the Rotate directly after inserting. Hope it can solve you issue temperately.

Regards,

I'm glad you managed to reproduce it.

Regarding the workaround, are you refering to the part library? If that's the case, then there's the issue of common packages and footprints between components (another bug in Fusion 360). The 3D package and footprint is shared by another component (TPS7A3301RGWR) which is also in the same schematic and has no rotation issue. Thus, creating a new package will cause an issue with the other part.

I previously mentioned this other (serious) bug in a previous post quite a while ago, but no developer has fixed it.

Hi @pstormarkG9SGY

Hope all is well.

Much appreciated for reporting this issue to us ago.
Good news that we have put a fix about it in the latest Fusion build 2.0.19725 which was live yesterday.

Could you please upgrade to the latest version to have a check? Hope it helps.

Please feel free to let us know if you need further assistant.
Thank you.

Best regards,
Helen
