Is there a fast way to add a new lockal package (alternate footprint) to a library and keep the same attributes?
For example I have a 0402 capacitor library with attributes for manufacurere and partnumbers etc. I want to add a smaller pad size footprint but I also want to keep the exisitng. How can I do this for every component in the library without changing the existing footprint? Any answer that isn't just brute force would be appreciated.

Hello @warren_hawkins57R37,
I hope you're doing well. I assume that you are referring to keep the attribute set not necessarily the values since those would be different from variant to variant. The best way would be to have a script that creates the set of attributes then you can fill out the values. That would be the quickest way.
See the HELP for the attribute command.
Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
Best Regards,

Actually I want exactly the same values. The part is identical but in some cases we require a smaller footprint.

I hope you're doing well. Try the copy-attribute-at-deviceset.ulp that comes with Fusion. Save the library before running it, I think it will get you want but I just want to be careful.
