Trying to create a electronics drawing

I'm trying to create an electronics drawing from my design, but there's nothing "in it"!

I've been following the guide, but it's just blank.

Looking at the file viewer and the sheet, it does look like it's something there, but can't actually see or do anything. Not sure what I've missed..

I'm running MacOS Monterey (latest update) and latest update of F360 (it updated yesterday).

Hi

Thank you for reporting the issue. Are you experiencing this with a particular dataset? Could you share a recording of the steps on how you are creating the ECAD drawing?

Hi FransUrbo,

Thanks for reporting the issue.
It seems the view is still there in the canvas but due to some rendering issue its not visible, as we can still see the views in thumbnails(highlighted in red).

Can we just try toggling any browser node to see if that makes the view visible?

Please let us know if that works.

Thanks.

I have, that does nothing.

I've tried this several time, create a drawing from an electronics project. Toggle the browser nodes, create a drawing from the project, and/or from the schematic. On several different projects. They all end up the same - empty view, but "something" in the thumbnail.

Hi @FransUrbo

Thank you for the reply, I noticed that you are on MacOS Monterey, while this OS was not on the supported list since 2024 - Novemeber. So I request you to update to the latest OS and see if that fixes the issue. Thank you!

If I could upgrade, I would have..

This is the last Intel Mac's, so unfortunately I'm stuck with Monterey until I can afford a new one..

So are you saying this is because of Monteray, and I'm the only one having this issue?

Hi @FransUrbo,

I have tried to reproduce this with the latest MacOS versions, but was not successful. You are the first user to raise this concern. Even for the development, Monterey OS was not on the supported list since 2024 - Novemeber. Can you check if you are observing the same issue with the mechanical drawings?

Actually I do, I didn't think of checking that.

But I just opened one that I made a few years ago, that I haven't opened since '22 (!).

The thumbnail is fine, and I *know* that it was ok when I worked on it (I sent it to someone to have it manufactured!), but now it just opens "empty".

Hi @FransUrbo

I see that the issue that you are experiencing is not specific to ECAD drawing. As I mentioned earlier, for unsupported OS, we can not do anything. You can find the minimum system requirements for Fusion here - https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/System-requirement... .

Yeah, until you change that again 😞 😞 :(.

Dang I hate this "it's a few years old, so throw it away and buy something newer" mentality 😞 :(.
