Support for spacemouse in fusion electronics?

I use a space mouse a lot for general CAD design, but for whatever reason it does not work in the electronics workspaces. Obviously there is no rotate, but it would be awesome to gain support for pan/zoom to make it easier to move around a PCB when zoomed in. 

Is it possible that this does work and something is wrong with my drivers/setup/configuration, but nothing I've tried makes it work so far.

I use my space mouse every day for 3D modeling but I can't say I've ever tried it in electronics. I will have to see if it works on mine.

Does anyone know how to turn on the pan feature in electronics? I use my spacemouse for everything and I would like to also use it for fusion360 electronics. I can only zoom in/out.

Until Autodesk does something you can't. Fusion electronics flat out doesn't support it right now.

Yes, my company made me switch from Altium to F360 back in 2020. It was a really bad year. I am still struggling with getting productivity up. I am really missing spacemouse support. I am struggling on so many levels to understand why on earth this has not been implemented already, along with other things eg. via stitching. 🙄

Hello @jerry_gabrie ,

I'll add your voice to the existing ticket for this feature. In order to pan, you have to do a middle-mouse button click and hold. Whatever button you configure on the Spacemouse to represent a middle mouse click is the one you would use to pan.

There are several ways to do via stitching in Fusion Electronics, you could do it through a ULP or activate the VIA command set the name by typing 'PUT_NAME_HERE' followed by enter. This will name the vias to whatever net you want them to connect to, every time you click to drop a via the via will automatically connect to the net named PUT_NAME_HERE.

Thanks for the tips Jorge.

On your via naming tip. I tried it and it wouldn't recognize the 'option'.

Here are my steps:

First Method:

1. Activate via command

2. Start typing the net name "GND" - it brings up the grid settings panel right after pressing g - since 'g' is the hotkey for opening the grid settings

Method 2: 

1. Activate via command

2.Press '/' to activate command line mode

3.Typed GND followed by enter

4. Then I get an error window on the bottom right saying "Invalid option: GND"

Let me know what I am doing wrong. This would be a great feature to speed up via stitching.

One more request to please implement this. I am so used to using the space mouse in fusion that I consantly reach for it in electronics designs and get angry that it doesn't work. I have a whole macropad designed around the space mouse for keyboard shortcuts, including electronics specific ones, and it's annoying to not be able to move around the window with my hand already there.
