SPLIT command in PCB Editor autocompletes -- how to stop that?

I'm trying to modify the path of a trace on a PCB using the Split command: how do I stop it from trying to auto-complete the re-route when I left-click?  I want to place successive new corners manually, like Eagle did it.

I hope you're doing well. Could you elaborate a little more. I just tried using the split command in Fusion and EAGLE and the behavior is the same so I'm not sure what difference you are seeing.

@jorge_garcia  To ask this another way, if I want to manually reroute a trace using Split, with multiple corners along the way, how do I do that?  Maybe I'm not remembering how Eagle did it, but now what happens is that I choose Split, left-click on the trace to create the split, move to where I want the first new corner, and then left-click to place that corner, instead the trace routing auto-completes however it feels like it.  I tried right-click instead, and it bails out on the command.

Hi @scott ,

What you want to do in this case is just use the route command and start routing along a trace wherever you want. Once you return to the main trace the intermediate pieces will be removed. This is what we call "loop removal".

It works really well and you don't need split for it.
