Print electronics design problem

Hi

Can some advice how to print electronics design to PDF ?

When I push Print button ( or wrote print command ) - fusion stuck with not responding ( waiting more then 15min ) .

Cash cleared already twice but result is the same .

Fusion would like to get all available printers in the system ? We have more then 100+ printers in company - can this be a problem ?

Thanks in advance .

Hi @roman_Sholiak ,

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble.

I think Fusion only load those printers which your machine have already connected with.

Whether the printing for word document is OK in your machine? I suppose it works well for you, just want to double check.

If you have EAGLE installed too, do you mind to try print command in EAGLE as well to see whether it works or not? I think they behaves similar.

Regards,

Helen

I have 15 printers installed ( some of them are off )  and MSOffice access to printer list  during 20 - 30 sec .

Fusion takes like 20 min to perform access - during this time it not responding.

Any suggestions how can this be improved ?

Eagle not installed as using only Fusion ( subscription) .

PS : I`m trying to print electronic schematic .

Hi,

do you have the problem when printing any schematicst from example Project? Can you install a pdf printer (adobe or xchange-pdf or other else) and declare it as a default printer in your computer settings? Then your print window should show a default printer at first.

My guessing is: if you have troubles to print examples schematics, then the problem may be with your computer. If you can print example schematics, you have a problem with your  project.

@Anonymous  Thanks for help - you was right about PC setup .

Default printer on PC was offline and this cause long time to start - after changing to PDF it start during 3s.

But this must be still improved in fusion to have some shorter timeout if printer is off .

Sounds fine,

do you have this 3 sec delay with "pdf-printer" too? Maybe it is still a set of your pc, maybe you have to switch to "offline mode" and working and storing on local machine improves the printer response.

BTW: this is a small problem that F360 have. Believe me, they have to fix more complicated and more important problems, e.g. proper DXF-import into a layout. 😉
