Pass 3D model outline to footprint editor

Hi,

Here's one feature request - add option to pass component's 3D model outline from 3D package to footprint editor(make new layer specially for this feature).

Why?

Because I don't see 3D package outline when drawning footprint(and later when editing). Because of that, I'm not sure where I can place >NAME and >VALUE. Most components have extra "meat" between last pad and package edge.

I would love to see this too. In my case it is more about defining the correct outline on tPlace, than Value/Name placement. I often measure the 3D Model with the ruler tool, and feed that into the footprint manually, but it is error prone, and cumbersome.

I guess the outline could just go to one of the documentation layers, or we could choose the layer as part of an explicit "import outline" command.

Well, when you know outline for tPlace then you can place tName correctly.

I hope this FR won't be in someones drawer for months/years.
