negative polygon inside polygon

Hello everyone.

I'm importing a design from a DWG, and converting the lines to polygons in such a way they become traces.

The issue I'm facing is that some shapes need to have "negative" (empty) spaces inside of them, as the screenshot shows:

The red hatched section should be empty of copper.

On the earlier versions of EAGLE I could have that polygon set as a RESTRICT layer and it would work, but in this case besides not being able to do it in Fusion, there is another polygon inside this one that has to be filled.

How can I achieve this?

Thank you.

Try the Polygon > Polygon Cutout tool. Draw on the copper layer - should do the same thing as a restrict in Eagle.

Hi, Kevin! thanks for the reply.

Do you know any way to convert existing wires into a polygon cutout? or how do convert a regular polygon to a polygon cutout?

I have not seen a way to convert a pour or wire into a cutout unfortunately.

Just did a test on one of my files.  I can convert an existing polygon cutout into a wire but when I convert the wire back to a polygon, it become a pour. 🤔
