Navigating multi-sheet schematic

Does anybody know alternate ways to change sheets in a multi-sheet schematic? Eagle is great because I can use Page-Up and Page-Down to advance backwards and forwards, respectively, between sheets.

I would love to have a means to navigate by keystroke rather than have to find the "SHEETS" tab (which I keep minimized to maximize workspace real estate).

Hi @bandrewsHH3AM

I hope you are doing well!

I get the information from team:

If Sheets Panel is in bottom, then need to press Page Left/Right to switch sheets.  And you need to click on the sheet firstly.

Would you mind having a try again? Thanks!

Thanks for the response @panpan_fan - I figure you aren't responsible for this, but that's not really a great way around the actual point of the question.

So the only way to navigate via the keyboard is to go and expand the sheets tab and click it into focus? Which at that point I'm just as good off clicking the sheet I want to go to. The whole point is the sheets tab is an inefficient way to navigate my schematic

Certainly, there are alternate ways to change sheets in a multi-sheet schematic in Eagle without relying on the "SHEETS" tab, allowing you to make the most of your workspace real estate.

One useful method is to utilize the "Ctrl + R" shortcut. By pressing "Ctrl + R" while in the schematic view, you can bring up a pop-up window that displays all the sheets in your project. From there, you can simply type the sheet number you want to switch to and press Enter, allowing you to navigate directly to the desired sheet without needing to access the "SHEETS" tab.

This keyboard shortcut provides an efficient means of sheet navigation, helping you manage your project's real estate more effectively like empireworks manage their projects easily. In the world of electronics design, optimizing your workspace real estate is essential for a productive workflow, and Eagle offers tools and shortcuts to help you do just that.

so the hangup was never in Eagle - navigating sheets there is as simple as "PgUp" and "PgDn".

i did end up stumbling on something the other day: there's a ULP in the public Library.io directory "editnext-sheet" and "editprev-sheet". assigning these to shortcuts seems to work, but now the issue is they aren't sticky between Fusion sessions. @jorge_garcia - any insight as to why my shortcuts for these may not retain after closing and re-opening Fusion?

Hi @bandrewsHH3AM,

I assume you are defining your shortcuts using the shortcut command. If they are not persisting then I'm going to add it to a ticket we have open on persistence of settings.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Yep, @jorge_garcia - I am using the "Shortcuts" button in the toolbar.

Also in line with persistence of settings [maybe worthy of a spin-off forum post, but I'll put it here anyway], I'm seeing that case isn't maintained in shortcuts between sessions either: e.g. if I save a shortcut for "set Option.ShowTextOrigins 0;" the shortcut works until I close and come back into Fusion. When I come back into Fusion, that shortcut becomes "set option.showtextorigins 0;" which does not execute. I tried putting this in a local script, but the script also doesn't persist from one session to the next because the local directory moves on every new session.
