Mistake in the IC_Linear Library

Hi,

 

FIY there is a mistake in the IC_Linear library that is provided with Fusion 360, on the AD822 SOIC schematic component, pin 3 ad 2 are inverted compared to the manufacturer provided datasheet. One of my designs for which I disdn't check confirms that the Datasheet is the correct one.

HI, Thank you for your quick reaction, you may want to temporarily remove this component as a quick action. This mistake costed our company time and money and I wouldn't want others to end up the same way.

Hello,
This issue can also be found in Symbol: "OPAMP-1" of the same IC_Linear library.
Pin + and - are inverted, which leads to wiring all TL072 inputs in reverse!

I would advise to review the whole library for similar issues, an official library shouldn't have such errors which, as mentioned before, costs time and money to anyone using it.

Hi @andre.goncalvesY3M87 ,

 

I've passed this along to our librarian. The symbol doesn't have pads assigned to it directly so how can the pins be reversed? Did you compare it against the pin out of the TL072 component? Our librarian will follow up.

Hello,
Thanks for following up on this.
They are inverted as they are labeled + & - but the labels position don't match the pin names,
in the image notice the pin name is "-IN" but the pin selected is the one next to the + label.

I don't see an issue (unless recently got fixed):

Notice everything matches up perfectly

YES you do have to verify the symbol pins map to the proper pads  --otherwise SEVERE hidden chaos

Hi everyone,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

For AD822, the pin-to-pad mappings are correct, and the symbol itself is also correct. However, it differs from the datasheet representation because the datasheet uses positional pin placement, whereas the Fusion libraries use functional pin placement.

For the "OPAMP-1" symbol, the + and signs were inadvertently swapped.

However, the pin names and pin-to-pad mappings were correct.

This issue has been resolved in the latest v34 release.

Maybe confusion---this (correct) symbol came directly from the fusion-provide lib:

what part are you showing in msg#9??

MSG#9 shows the "OPAMP-1" symbol in the latest IC_Linear library which is v34. 

 

Here is the latest version of AD822
