In replacing component the pre-existing attributes of prior part are not overwritten with new lib part attr of same names

I have seen this for some time and now in doing component schematic level replace operation I want all of the attributes that have same attribute name as part being replaced to use the attributes of the part that I have chosen to replace prior part.

So if a cap has had an override for MPN for example and the new cap in my lib has different MPN attribute the replacement leaves the OLD attributes.

This may be because I replaced old cap values from generic and added new attributes

I don't see some sort of checkbox to assure ALL same-name attributes from part I am now wanting to use get used in the component after it is replaced.

Note that my attr in the new lib part are variables.  Perhaps this is involved in lack of doing an override?

Hello @mjstn2011 ,

I hope you're doing well. The attributes should be updated, try this. After you do the replace, use the Reposition Attributes command and make sure it's set to Restore Default and click on the part. Do the attributes update?

Let me know if you continue to run into problems
