Importing OrCAD Gerber Files

Good morning,

Is it possible to import a gerber file into Fusion 360 to modify the PCB design?

I have an old OrCAD gerber file. Is it possible to import that file into Fusion 360 to perform modfications to the PCB?

Please advise.

Thank you.

Hello @RCBakerBorn,

I hope you're doing well. You can try the import-gerber.ulp that comes with Fusion 360. That's the best way to attempt a gerber import in Fusion 360.

Keep in mind that gerbers are just plain artwork, they don't carry netlist or BOM information. As long as the mod is simple, importing gerbers is feasible but if you are trying to reverse engineer a design from gerbers I'm afraid that's likely not possible.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,
