imported part footprint not showing 3D model

When I import a part I get the symbol, I get the footprint, but the 3D model is not there. Do I need to link it separately? I am not seeing a way to do that. The zip file downloaded has a 3D image as a .stp file. Does it need to be .step?

I looked for a video but all I found were tuts on how to create your own part, but none seem to explain how to import a part. 

It's been a while since I used EAGLE so I am a bit rusty on how all this works.

Thank you very much for asking.

.stp and .step format for the 3d Model is OK, but both of them need additional steps to be linked with the footprint.

Thanks! I was assuming the lib with the Symbol, footprint, and 3D model would already be linked. Good to know I wasn't doing something wrong.

I made it all the time, but now when I try to link a 3D model in my components, the models don't appear on a 3D model of the board:

 

Another problem; I'm trying to delete a wrong 3D model on another imported component but that is not allowed.
