How to use .dwg PCB Layout file set properties (thickness and line naming)export ODB++

I need to use the manufacturing in fusion to create a new PBC to export the ODB++ file to ansys Q3D for simulation analysis, but I need to set the properties of the pcb layout diagram first (such as thickness and line segment naming), but I cannot successfully export the required ODB++ , there is no thickness or line segment naming in the file. In addition, I directly tried to load the .dwg for settings, but there was no way to successfully convert back to the ODB++ required for PCB output. Is there any user who has relevant experience to share? Thank you.

Hello @Zachary_wu,

I hope this message finds you well. DWG files don't carry the data necessary to make a proper PCB. You can import some geometry from a DXF file but all of the setup needs to be done inside a proper PCB design tool. Fusion Electronics can help you setup the parameters you need. From there you'll be able to export to ANSYS tools no problem.

Here's a playlist to show you how you get your first design finished.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
