How to make non square Pads?

I want to create the footprint, as it can be seen below. So far I have created a square pad in the middle and added two triangles to it to bring it into this rhombus shape. When I try to use the footprint in my design, I get ERC problems, because these triangles are not seen as part of the pads and therefore "overlap". Is there a way to more properly model pads shaped in this way, or do I just have to ignore the ERC messages to use this footprint?

if you want to avoid the messages just draw a polygon around the whole pad that is the shape you want. If the  original square pad is entirely inside the polygon, then it will not give errors iirc.
