[Feedback] Footprint View Allow Right Click In Results View

Trying to right click the part in the view window below should perform the same action as right clicking the part in the footprint view.

As you can see, there is a lot going on with this board, trying to click around in the footprint view just results in a lot of error sounds coming from Windows. You should just be able to right click the part in the results view and edit items that way.

^ I was trying to add a Custom 3D Part but cannot do to being unable to click the part...

In order to select a component in the viewport you need to locate the origin of the component and click on that.

The origin is the tiny little cross hair, which is difficult to spot with all layers visible in this small, busy board.

I find that, among a few other things, this selection "behavior" makes Fusion 360 Electronics unpleasant to use.

It isn't that you cannot get your work done. You can!  It is just not a pleasant and fluent experience.

Hey @ThePieMonster & @TrippyLighting ,

Thanks so much for reporting this! I agree, the current selection mechanic can be difficult to use in it's current state and is something we're aware of. You've made a great point about expecting similar actions on the same object from multiple locations - this is something I'll bring back to the team!

I'll be sure to report back with any updates in this area. Please feel free to DM me with some more more of your feedback / insight. Thanks again for using the forums!
