Hi guys,

I have watched the Electronics Module demo on you tube where at the end there was a simulation done on the PCB.

I don't see this module available in my F360 (hobbyist subscription).

Please advise

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous,

I hope you're doing well. I think you are referring to the Electronics cooling simulation on the PCB editor, since that is currently the only electronic simulation we do on the PCB. Am I correct in that assumption?

Circuit simulation is driven from the schematic only and requires mapping components to models so that the simulator can run properly.

Let me know if I've made any mistakes in my assumptions.

Hi Jorge,

Your assumption is 100% correct.

I was looking for electronics cooling simulation.

I am trying to do a simulation for an assembly I have created. Is it possible?

Thank you

For clarity:
Electronics simulation is a method of understanding the electrical behavior of a circuit design.

Thermal simulation is a method  of understanding the behavior of thermal conduction and dissipation in a system.

OP - you are asking about Thermal Simulation.

Hi @engineeringNCMXB ,

Thanks for the clarification.

I have mentioned electronics cooling simulation but probably my sentence wasn't worded correctly.

You are right, I am looking for Thermal Simulation for Electronics Board. Do you see this new module in your F360?

Hi Everyone,

See my response in the thread above. Basically, e-cooling is not available in Public preview just yet. Once it's available you'll be able to try it out.

Sorry about the confusion.
