Defining PCB with existing schematic and 3D CAD model

Hi,

I am a beginner in Fusion (formerly used EAGLE) and I fail to understand how to correctly set up my project. I started with a 3D CAD design, where a housing and a PCB outline is already drawn. I also have a draft for a schematic that I made with EAGLE.

Since we now need to correctly place components that will need an opening in the housing, I wish to:

- import my schematic from EAGLE into Fusion

- import all related components (or libraries) into Fusion as well

- define the drawn PCB from the 3D CAD model as a PCB

- link this new PCB to my schematic

- be able to move components in the 3D CAD model and see the result in the PCB layout

I've tried multiple things and I feel like my project is not correctly set up. I do have a schematic, a PCB layout and a 3D model of the PCB. I also exported my related EAGLE components into a library and imported them, but somehow I now got two libraries with the same name in my design. I also can't load my 3D PCB into the housing's 3D CAD model.

I am open to start all the imports all over, so I kindly ask to give me a general tutorial on how to set up everything. Other tutorials always explain how to do that without existing schematic.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Alexander_hassSVFPE ,

I hope you're doing well. Check out this series for how to bring designs in from EAGLE to Fusion.
