CPL File

Hello,

I have a schematic of my printed circuit board as well as the board design, and the company I am purchasing the boards from requested a CPL File. The CPL file is only accepted in XLS,XLSX,CSV file format. I am using Fusion 360 Electrical to do this. I do not see how to make a CPL file from my drawing. Does Fusion Electrical provide CPL drawings? If so, how will I export this?

That option does not create a clp file it makes mnt file.  Is there a conversion or some other way fusion can create need clp files?

Hi @carl.stevens,

I hope you're doing well. File extensions are not very specific in our industry, if the clp file is a mount or pick and place file then the .mnt will satisfy those requirements.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

There are manufacturer who wants a CPL file in xls or csv format. So this industry standard is not accepted everywhere.

Hi @tadas_sperau ,

The .mnt file contains the data needed. Try changing it's extension to .csv or .xls and see if it will take it.

If not then follow the directions here on JLCPCBs site

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.
