I use Eagle and Fusion 360. Fusion I use essentially for mechanical stuff. Some things are just plain frustrating though.

Print - come on, it needs to be there. Exporting to a dxf and then trying to open it on another machine with AutoCAD I get "invalid or incomplete DXF input

Linux - either you do support it or you don't - I can't open all my designs in the Linux version of Eagle 9.6.2. I can't start it without errors, it's just not professional.

This reliance on the cloud makes any exporting tedious and when faced with errors you just end up walking away. Five minutes wasted each time, only to get an error message on another computer saying invalid or incomplete DXF input!!!

With Eagle in Fusion, I can't see how you select and output like I could in the older Eagle. For example I could output to a photoshop file, now I can't.

Hi @richardwiskin ,

I hope this message finds you well. Both programs have print functions, in Fusion 360 you'll find it under the Document Menu in both the schematic and board editors. In EAGLE, it's just under the File menu.

In regards to Linux, EAGLE supports Linux currently Fusion 360 does not. If you are going to export back to EAGLE you have to make sure to export the schematic and board as EAGLE 9.x.x files, if you export an archive file(f3z) from Fusion, EAGLE won't know what to do with it. If you are doing something different please let me know and I'll do my best to help you out.

What type of export did you do to output a photoshop file in EAGLE? It's likely that functionality is still available in Fusion 360. If it is, I can help you find it.

Best Regards,
