Adding a solder pad in a schematic

Hello there,

I would like to add some solder pad in a schematic (as a novice) I don't know if it's possible. I have read somewhere it can be done with "maker.lbr" but when I open it in my library it has no Elements inside.

You guys can have a look on the Picture and tell me if it's possible to do it in the schematic or it has to be done in the pcb

Many thanks,

Hi Christopher,

Is there a way to resize it to make it bigger? I would like to have a larger solder pad.

Many Thanks

Create your own.

Locate the one you like, if I remember correct the bigger are 1x1mm. Then top menu,Create new electronic library, import - select the one you like and rework it. Just change footprint size, and save it as your new team libraries. Then Add it to the schematic  -select the one just created, from the team library.

Hi Christopher,

I resize it and give it a new Name which appears on the library add list but it has no compenent (No selectable asset available) in it. When I open the library Manager I can see the new model.

How can get it appear on the add library list?

Many thanks

At the end of creating the new part you must click somewhere on main icon bar, the icon 'add part' - I very often forget about this. The add part is active when you are in proper window, symbol or device, you must try. It is on the left side.

If this does not help just create same similar part /second variant) in your team lib- this could be the bug which is unsolved right now.

Do not forget to conenct the pin to the PAD, there is connect/append tool on the right side where you can tie each pin to particural one pad.
