Add info other than NAME and VALUE in symbol

Can I add info other than NAME and VALUE to a component's symbol?

For example, I want to add the package (SOT23) or the component's name (BLM2305).

Some components have the same symbol and footprint, so instead of creating new components for each one, it's more convenient to use the same components in Fusion 360.

If yes, is there a table that shows what to write in the text box and which layer to place it on?

Thank you.

Hi @majedmohammad,

Along with the >NAME and >VALUE place holders you can create other text variables and then in the component editor you create the attributes that will represent that text variable. So let's say you want to show the Manufacturer's Part Number.  So in the symbol (and/or footprint) add text like >MPN. Then in the component editor create and Attribute called MPN and set it's value. When you use the component in a schematic the >MPN text will be replaced with the value of that attribute.

Let me know if you continue to run into problems.
