Renew Educational Access

I received an email about a month ago as a reminder to renew my educational access. I followed the instructions and it said that I had successfully renewed my access. I just received another email that says that my access will expire in 4 days. I followed the link and followed the procedure. When I get to the page that says confirm, I get a message that says open in an incognito window or in a private window. I opened a private window, and was not able to get the confirmation. I have tried Microsoft Edge, and Firefox. What should I do?

Hi @vkellerYANYQ When you say you followed the link and the procedure, can you provide that link and procedure here?

Did you follow these steps?

Autodesk Education | Students and Educators | Renewing Access

Thanks,

Hi @vkellerYANYQ How did things turn out? Did you get things resolved so you have access again? Can you let us know the status?

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi,

I still don’t have access. I followed the procedure, and sent them a screenshot of the page showing that I was using incognito mode as requested. They said that they were going to escalate it, but I have not heard anything back from them. It’s frustrating. I used that link that was sent to me by Autodesk to renew my educational access. I have tried several different bowsers and the result is the same. I had received an email from Autodesk about a month ago saying that it was time to renew. At that time I followed the procedure and I got a message that it worked. Then I got the email from Autodesk a few days ago saying that my access was going to expire in 4 days. When I opened Fusion, it said that my access would expire in 22 days. Something is not working. We’re getting ready to start classes again, so I hope that they resolve this quickly.

Thanks,

Vern

Unfortunately, this is not something that I will be able to help you with at this stage but I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I have seen this and it is being looked into. I have followed your support case on our system and will keep up to date with your situation, but the Senior Support staff that your case has been escalated to are the best people to help you with this problem.
If you do not get a response from them in the next few days, or are facing any further problems please don't hesitate to reach out, but for now, the best thing we can do is wait for that support team to resolve the issue.

I am very sorry that this is causing you issues and I understand that it can be stressful with the need to prepare for new students coming in. We appreciate your patience whilst we sort this!

This seems to be a common problem that Autodesk has every single year with the educational licences. Can we not have a better and more reliable system? It makes it really hard to recommend as a software if even the login and authentication system has historical problems for the last 6 years (in my experience)

Hi,

After a long process with Autodesk support the problem was fixed and my education access was restored. I was using Fusion. Now when I open Fusion it shows that the trial is expiring in 30 days. I had educational access and now it is not there. I signed out and signed in again, but that did not fix the problem. It is very frustrating.

Thanks

Vern

Hi @vkellerYANYQ

Glad your eligibility has been renewed. The Fusion license will also need to be renewed.

To renew your Fusion 360 Education license, do the following.

  1. Sign into the Autodesk Education site.
  2. On the Individual tab, on the Fusion 360 product card click "Get product".

  1. Then click "ACCESS".

  1. Launch Fusion (if Fusion is already installed or if you're running Fusion from a browser, cancel the install).
  2. If the Education license does not appear on the top of the screen as shown in the following image, sign out and back into Fusion.

Please let us know if you now have your Fusion license.

Thanks,

-Dan
