How do I get access to Fusion 360?

I have an educator license of Fusion 360 that I havent used for a year.

Now Im being asked to use the 2FA and Im told that security code has been sent to my phone. The last 3 digits are correct but I do not receive anything.

Maybe the country code is not used?

How do I solve this frustrating issue?

Sorry if it isnt the correct forum, but Autodesk has zero other support channels that dont require a log-in.

Hi @nkbhvid

Are you able to go to https://profile.autodesk.com/security and turn off the 2-step verification. The screen capture below shows how to set it up, but you'll be able to turn it off here.

Please keep us posted.

Hi @nkbhvid

Here is a link to an article that has more detail about the 2-step verification process.

Hope this helps.

I can access the site, but when I log in using my university credentials I
still end up in my private account.
In this account 2FA is disabled

Hi @nkbhvid

The login issue may because you cannot log in using two different accounts in the same "Internet Browser" because the session cookie can only handle one account at a time

Try just copying the link into the clipboard and pasting it in a private "Incognito" tab in your internet browser. Then it will allow you to sign in with the other Autodesk account in the Incognito tab. This is how you can open two different accounts in the same browser for anything (not just Autodesk).

Please keep us posted.

As shown below this also requires a 2FA.

Hi @nkbhvid

I'm going to have to engage another team to see if they can reset your 2-step verification.

Can you please private message me your full phone number?

Thanks,

Hi @nkbhvid

Can you also private message me your school email address? I see that you logged into this forum with your Gmail account and I believe the issue is with your school email address.

Thanks,

-Dan

it seems that autodesk mailing system is just as effective as autodesk account administration

The issue is still not resolved.

When trying to follow the (complicated) process to export files from expired account to other account https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-invite-a-ne... it seems that Im not able to invite members. In the overview my invited new members are flagged with an pre-approved.

Thanks Dan

And then my last question (I hope😊)

For how long time will my old account (the [email protected] ) still be active? Can I keep it “forever” as a storage, or do I need to transfer all work to my new account?

Hi @nicolaj.hvid

Great question. I'd transfer all the files. Soon, all the old Single-User Storage hubs be be sunset. I'm not sure if this is what you have for your old accounts, but to be safe, I'd transfer all the files.

Thanks,

-Dan
