Fusion 360 Admin Install in 2024?

Is there a way to get the previously available "Admin Install" version of Fusion 360 for Windows in 2024?

Our school network is managed externally and the admins need it to install Fusion on all our machines at once.
All the links mentioned (for example here) are leading to Fusion Client Downloader.exe.

Autodesk support response was fast but not exactly helpful.

Hi @georgmierau

Thanks for asking your question. You can find the correct links in this forum post.

January 29, 2024 – Autodesk Fusion Update is Now Available. In the post are instructions on how to sign up for email notification about the Fusion updates for your lab.

Windows

  1. Download the Fusion Lab Install File.

Mac

  1. Download the Fusion Lab Install Package.

Does this help?

Hi, I was able to download the Fusion Lab Install package for Mac from the link above (thank you!  since the instructions from the website lead to a 404 error).  However, our education license is failing -- I continue to get the trial notice.  We receive the eligibility notice/email, but our attempts to install on both Windows and Mac are not licensed.  We have tested with multiple user accounts for our institution on multiple devices.  My contact with support did not resolve the issue.  Are you able to offer suggestions of what we are missing to get the education license to apply to the product?

Hi @ituserservices

The account that you signed into this forum with has the Autodesk Education profile set to IT Admin, hence why you can't sign into Fusion.

Here are the definitions of the Education profile roles.

  • Student: Can only acquire individual licenses.
  • Educator: Can acquire individual licenses and assign their students' licenses.
  • IT Admin: Can only acquire traditional network licenses for desktop versions of Autodesk software and the lab install files for Fusion for their school (no individual licenses).

If you need to sign into Fusion, you can create a second Autodesk Education account and set the role to Educator.

Or an educator in your school can assign you a license. Refer to page 7 - 14 in the Fusion 360 Educator Guide

Please keep us posted.
