wrong measurements in drawing

Hello,

Maybe I'm just overlooking something but if I go from 'model' mode to 'drawing' mode to get a document where I can put all measurements on for the customer it doesn't seem to give me the right numbers.

As you can see in the screenshots the distance between the two centers holes should be 103,5 as I specified but when I measure in drawing it states it's only 83,54.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi @Anonymous, it looks like your drawing view is not normal to the plate you're dimensioning, which is why you're not getting the correct dimension. Make sure that your drawing views are normal to what you need to dimension. For this example, I'd recommend using a Named View to get a custom view. Here's a good example you can check out: https://help.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/?caas=caas/screencast/Main/Details/e25bc268-b497-4bf6-ae72-b332b6ee9cf7.html

Thank you!

I thought Fusion would just use the real measurements.

I just made a new posting trying to find this answer.

Your link is what I was looking for, now I can create names views for each

component and chose what will be the base view of each.

thank you
